Healthy Spinach Wraps with Turkey

These juicy turkey and spinach wraps, which can also be made with deli roast beef or deli ham, are deceptively simple. You might like to make some turkey ones, some beef ones and some ham ones for your appetizer tray. Needing only five ingredients, these spinach wraps are quick and easy to put together and the combination of bell pepper, cream cheese, turkey, and spinach go very nicely with the tortillas.

These make ahead appetizers can be kept in the refrigerator for up to twenty four hours but bear in mind they will lose their flavor the longer you store them, so if you can make them just before your party or only a few hours beforehand, that is better. If you are catering for a wide range of people, it is sometimes a nice idea to provide a few healthier options when making appetizer recipes.

Tasty Turkey and Spinach Wraps

Ingredients -

8 oz garden vegetable cream cheese
4 flour tortillas, 10 inches across
½ lb deli turkey
1 red bell pepper
3 cups lightly packed spinach leaves

Preparation:

Slice the turkey thinly and cut the bell pepper into strips.

Spread the cream cheese over the tortillas and put one layer of spinach leaves on top.

Add the red pepper strips then a layer of turkey.

Roll the tortillas up, wrap them in saran wrap, and chill the spinach wraps in the refrigerator for an hour.

Do not refrigerate them for more than 24 hours or they will lose their flavor and go soggy.

Cut the spinach wraps into 1 inch slices and serve.
